Just one hour north of Santa Barbara, Jalama Canon Ranch and Vineyard boasts breathtaking views away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This historic property's scenery and surroundings are reminiscent of a turn of the century cattle ranch.

History: The 1,030 acre property was purchased by the current owners in 2004. Originally, the property was part of a much larger land grant to Jose Antonio de la Guerra by the United States of America in the mid 1800s. Since then, ownership of the current parcels has been passed down through the Hollister, Dibblee, and Larson families and the current owners are the 8th family from the original land grant.

Location: Jalama Canon Ranch and Vineyard is located six miles south of the most westerly tip of the Santa Rita Hills AVA, seven miles inland from Jalama State Beach, and approximately one mile west from the entrance on Jalama Road. The famous Santa Rita Hills are only minutes away and the Santa Ynez wine country is just a short drive north.

Current Uses: Jalama Canon Ranch and Vineyard has a diverse terrain and natural springs that provide fresh water for the livestock, agriculture, and natural wildlife. The property is an operating goat and cattle ranch, with a maturing vineyard.
